The lower part is linked with a funicular railway to the beautiful old Bergamo Alta, the upper part. Bergamo Alta is set upon a hill, approximately 400 meters above the plain and features a wealth of architectural and historic treasures. Local events include the International Jazz Festival and a lovely antique bazaar, which takes place every month.
