about Verona
Apart from being the literary background of the tragic Shakespeare's story of the feud between the Capulets and Montegues, Verona is a beautiful city crammed with medieval edifices and roman sites. Verona's best-known attraction is the magnificent Arena, which still hosts regular concerts. Other interesting architectural sites include Scaligeri tomb, Sant' Anastasia church and Ponte Pietro Bridge. Undoubtedly, a major crowd-puller is also the famous Juliet's balcony, which was built in courtesy of Shakespeare and can be visited at the Capulet's family home.
