Lleida
Lleida is located in the west of Catalonia, Spain. It's the administrative center of the province that bears the same name and the capital city of Segria County. The main economic branches in the area are commerce and services.
Lleida is a venue for a number of celebrations and festivals that take place there annually. The most important of these are Festa Major, Aplec del Cargol and Fira de Saint Miquel. There are two cinema festivals, a Latin-American one and an Animation Festival held in May.
In addition to that, there's a popular Music Festival, Senglar Rock, that takes place in Les Basses d'Alpicat on the outskirts of the town.
The landmarks worth mentioning in Lleida include the cathedrals of Seu Vella and Seu Nova, as well as the Institut d'Estudis llerdencs, a historical museum nowadays, that bears Gothic architectural elements.
