about Malmo
Malmo is situated in the southern part of Sweden and is very much a marine city. The third-largest city in the country, Malmo thrives on its busy commercial port. The city boasts a beautiful white beach not far from its heart and many historic buildings that catch the tourists' attention. These include St. Peter Church, St. Gertrud Quarter, the oldest half-timbered house in the city - Thottska Huset and the Flensburgska Huset. The surroundings of the city are dotted with historic castles - there are around 200 of them. The local craze for crayfish is satisfied at the annual summer Malmo festival, which apart from the crayfish eating features a lot of beer drinking, music and sports.
